Provided research, Monitoring & Evaluation, and operational support to Social Behavior Change communications campaigns in Jordan, Lebanon, and Afghanistan on a short-term consultant contract.

Managed third-party Monitoring and Evaluation for humanitarian aid projects implemented by USAID, UNOCHA, Mercy Corps, and CARE International in Syria and Iraq.

Developed all research tools for a range of multi-sector project evaluations, coding and processing relevant data in Arabic, and drafting all relevant monitoring reports.

Liaised remotely and in-person with local staff to ensure timely and proper implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation activities, with travel to Iraq, Syria, Tunisia, and Somalia.

Managed all aspects of SREO's expansion into North Africa, including building and maintaining a Libyan field network and opening branch offices in Libya and Tunisia.

Served as the primary point of contact with local implementing partners in a Syria-focused communications program.

Designed yearlong communications campaigns in Arabic and evaluated their progress through methodologically rigorous in-country research.

Oversaw disbursement of all project funds.

Developed and maintained a network of 80 research contacts in Jordan and Syria.

Conducted primary research, exclusively using Arabic-language personal interviews and open-source media, to illuminate humanitarian and governance issues in Syria.

Presented regular atmospherics briefings on governance conditions in Syria and broader Syrian conflict dynamics to high-level diplomatic and humanitarian officials.
